On the 18th December 2010, a select group of athletes took part in the IRON GUT 2010. We started at Southport Surf Club and either ran or rode all the way to Rainbow Bay Surf Club. As part of the challenge, we had to stop in at every Surf Club on the way and have a beer. With a total distance of 28.8km and 17 beers down, the boys were buckled by the end! If you weren’t there then you pretty much blew it. The best day of the year so far went down at South Straddie. 4 – 6 foot barrels which were non stop until well after lunch time. Of course, some of the best surfers in the world were there going mad! Below is a little clip I put together for Surfing Life… Enjoy!
