My brother is in this Jim Beam ‘The Break’ competition at the moment. He’s competing for a $50,000 sponsorship to do a full year on the WQS. On the 18th December 2010, a select group of athletes took part in the IRON GUT 2010. We started at Southport Surf Club and either ran or rode all the way to Rainbow Bay Surf Club. As part of the challenge, we had to stop in at every Surf Club on the way and have a beer. With a total distance of 28.8km and 17 beers down, the boys were buckled by the end!
