So yesterday, Hanzy and I went over to Jonesy’s crib in the arvo to check out some shots from the last few days at Keramas. On the way over, I got a call from TB as he was heading down the beach on sunset for a beer with the Smoke’s Johnny and Spon. I wasn’t to keen at first and by the time we left Jonesy’s it was just after sunset, so we would have missed it anyway but we thought we would swing by and see if they were still there. We ended up catching them just before they went to dinner and they ended up inviting us to come along to their mate Nick’s crib in Canggu for a feed.
We all went back to TB’s villa at Sentosa, which by the way, is the most fucked up villa you have ever seen (too much froth to talk about it right now) and everyone got ready and we headed north for the Gu. Sacha made up a little voddie cranberry mix for the road and I whacked on a new little SPOOKS mix to get things moving. By the time we got there we had finished the 1 litre concoction in the Absolute bottle and everyone was feeling it.
Nick’s pad was as mean as they come! Simple yet very stylish. The massive living room/entertaining area was filled with this crazy artwork which gave the colonial style house a funky feel. The table was stacked with 5 bottles of voddie and the tastiest Indo food I have ever eaten!
We all got pretty leggoed and the girls were cutting rugs to the infamous DJ AM’s recorded set from Elton John’s 50th Birthday and of course, I through on a new mix I did up for the boys at OTIS. Once we ran out of booze, we hightailed it back into Kuta and ended up where you always end up on a night in the vortex… SKY GARDEN!
